Which Creatine Product is the Best?

You will always get a lot of different answers when it comes to creatine. Creatine is a good product, and as long as you consume the recommended amount everyday you should be fine. It is recommended that you consume creatine with your post workout protein shake in the 15 minutes immediately following your workout. This is the prime time for creatine uptake in the bloodstream.

Loading Phase

Regarding the loading phase, it still hasn't been scientifically established whether or not loading creatine is essential or not. Reports continually come out, some saying to load creatine, others saying not to, and more than likely it is one topic which will still be up for debate many years from now. Basically, if you load creatine, you end up getting the creatine into your bloodstream faster, but if you don't load it, you end up getting the same results in the same amount of time, only not as quickly. For example, if you are using creatine for 12 weeks, you might make some gains faster in the beginning if you load creatine, but the end result after 12 weeks will be the same if you don't load it. So it all depends if you want to make the majority of your gains towards the beginning of your creatine cycle or if you want to gain muscle mass slowly throughout the entire period in which you are supplementing with creatine.

Types of Creatine

There has been plenty of debate regarding which type of creatine is the best to use. Creatine monohydrate is fine. I would not recommend liquid creatine because it's not stable in solution, but if you mix a powder in water, it should be most effective. Just make sure the crystals are fully dissolved when you drink it, and drink it postworkout, since studies continue to say that is the best time for consume creatine if you are looking to gain muscle mass, strength and endurance.

Conclusion

You will hear a thousand different answers when it comes to creatine, so the best judge is yourself. Use it and see what happens. Find a creatine product which you feel is worth the money, decide on a duration to use it for, and see if you make gains with it. If you do so, you will be able to find out if you are a Creatine Non Responder, or if creatine works for you! If creatine works for you - great! Keep eating correctly and training intensely and you will make great gains. If creatine does not work for you, there are plenty of other supplements you can try out, so don't give up yet!
